2. Before beginning your shift, always be sure to check that you are in proper uniform, that your vehicle is in proper working order, that you have all of your equipment and supplies, and that your duty weapons are loaded.
3. A BODY CAM MUST BE USED AT ALL TIMES DURING PATROL. WE RECOMMEND EITHER STREAMLABS OR MEDAL. IF YOU NEED HELP SETTING THIS UP, PLEASE ASK.
4. Plain English (NOT 10 CODES) and either the NATO or Law Enforcement Phonetic Alphabet are to be used for radio traffic purposes.

5. RADIO CALLSIGNS
Use the chat command: /callsign to change your in-game radio callsign. Each callsign will be standard as follows.

6. Illegal Weapons and Drugs: Recreational use marijuana is legal in San Andreas. Any marijuana in regular baggies is legal in any amount. Marijuana in pouches (Weed Pooch) is considered packaged for sale and is illegal. All other drugs are illegal in any amount.

7. Always introduce yourself with the proper rank and department when initiating contact with someone. (Ex. Hello, I'm Trooper Jones with the San Andreas State Police.)
8. When asked by any civilian for your name and badge number, you are required to provide it to them. Note that this only includes your last name.
9. When legally required, the following Miranda Warning should be used, verbatim.
- You have the right to remain silent.
- Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.
- You have the right to speak to an attorney and have him or her present with you while you are being questioned.
- If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish.
- You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements.

10. If a warrant needs to be issued on an individual, details on that warrant should be written up using the in-city document script, then sent to a supervisor for approval. If it is approved by a supervisor, you may send it to the judge. From there it will be distributed amongst everyone, and posted into the NCIC.
11. STANDARDIZED FIELD SOBRIETY TESTING (SFST): The following scripts should be used when issuing a field sobriety test. For the purposes of game mechanics, the only test we can perform aside from a PBT is the Nine Step Walk and Turn Test. You can RP out a Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test if you choose, but there would be no actual results you could use on that test. It is up to officer discretion when deciding whether or not to administer SFST's, but keep in mind that we have a duty to take enforcement actions against intoxicated drivers. We as an agency could also be held liable if an intoxicated person causes harm to themselves or someone else after interacting with us. If someone is either proven to be intoxicated or can be articulated as being intoxicated, we must either end the interaction with an arrest (if legally appropriate), transfer them to the care of medical personnel, or transfer to them to the care of a trusted friend or family member. It is never wise or acceptable to leave an intoxicated person to their own devices. Remember that the suspect must first consent to SFST's with the understanding that the results of a SFST cannot be used against them in a court of law.

WALK AND TURN TEST SCRIPT
Put your left foot on the line, then place your right foot on the line ahead of your left foot, with the heel of your right foot against the toe of your left foot.
Make sure you do not begin until I tell you to do so.

When I tell you to begin, you'll take 9 heel-to-toe steps down the line in front of you.
When you arrive on the ninth step, keep your front foot planted on the ground and turn around taking several small steps with the other foot. You'll then take 9 heel-to-toe steps back down the line.
As you're walking, ensure that you keep your arms by your side, look down at your feet, and count each step out loud. Once you have started the test, be sure not to stop until you have completed the test.

If the suspect does not understand a specific part of the instructions, only the part in which the suspect does not understand should be repeated.

12. INCIDENT COMMAND: The following structure should be in place for command at a robbery scene, or any other major incident. The first agency arriving on scene is in command, unless that agency chooses to pass it off to another agency.
The commanding agency will make all decisions regarding tactics on scene, and the other agency will act as support. Command may be assumed by supervisors within the same agency, but never taken from an agency by another agency unless voluntarily passed over.
For example, if a robbery call comes out and a city police officer or deputy sheriff arrives first, they are in charge unless they choose to pass it to us. The same is true vice versa.
13. When going off duty, the only weapon you are allowed to carry is your service pistol. When off duty, do not engage in any kind of role play that could damage your reputation as a State Trooper.
